Share ID and one-time password
The window shows two values: an ID (nine-digit number) and a one-time password (short string). Tell us both by phone or email.

We connect and help
We initiate the connection, you confirm on your screen. From that point on we see your desktop, and you see everything we do. When we are done, click "End" or close the window. The session ends immediately.
Security and data protection
What we do for security.
One-time password per session
Each password is valid for the current session only. Close the window and the access expires. Without a fresh password from you, even we cannot get back in.
Encrypted connection
The entire session is end-to-end encrypted (NaCl, Curve25519). Screen, keyboard and mouse run encrypted through our server. No one there can read along.
You see everything
During the session you see on your screen exactly what we do. You can take over with your mouse or click "End" at any time. No background access, no invisible control.
Portable, no installation
The .exe is downloaded once and run. No services are installed, nothing is written to the registry, no autostart entry is created. You can simply delete the file after the session.
Windows, macOS and Linux
Biber-Remote runs on all three desktop platforms. The download linked here is the Windows version. For macOS and Linux just ask us for the matching build.

Frequently asked questions
What happens when I start the software?
A small window opens showing an ID and a one-time password. As long as you do not share those details, no one can access your computer. Close the window and the connection is gone.
Who can connect while the software is running?
Only the person you give the ID and one-time password to. The password is valid for the current session only. As soon as you close the window or generate a new password, the old one is no longer valid.
Where is the server that handles the connection?
On our own server in Germany. We deliberately do not use the public RustDesk relay and run our own instead, so your data never travels through third-party infrastructure.
Do I need to install the software in advance?
No. The file is downloaded once and can be started directly. There is no installer and no admin password required. After the session you can keep the file or simply delete it.
Do you keep watching after the session?
No. Closing the window or clicking "End" immediately drops the connection. To start another session we need a new one-time password from you.
Does remote support cost extra?
Remote support is included in our service contracts. Without a contract, we bill the actual time spent and give you an honest estimate beforehand.
